Airways Infection

How Can Airways Infection And Sinusitis Turn To Asthma Attack?

Airways infection
could not be underestimated, as the more often you caught airways infection, the more chance you get asthma. Airways infection could be caused by bacteria or virus.

Bacterial airways infection usually won't cause asthma attack, as antibiotics can cure this kind of infection quite easily. But if you already have asthma before the bacteria infected you, then your asthma could get worse.

Virus can also cause airways infection, however your immune system can destroy the virus by itself even without taking antibiotics. But in certain cases, the virus still hide in your body cells, and do some damages to your airways. The virus can spread to bronchiole, which cause the increasing of mucus production and bronchiole inflammation. This virus can even 'change' the inner wall structure of your airways, which make your airways to be narrower.

Sinusitis

Your asthma can be worsen if you get sinusitis. Sinusitis is an inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, which may or may not be as a result of infection, from bacterial, fungal, viral, allergic or autoimmune issues (Wikipedia). Sinus itself is air cavities in the cranial bones, especially those near the nose (Wikipedia). Or, in a more simple words, a space in our skull, located behind cheek-bones, above eyes.

During sinusitis, your sinus got blockage because of the inflammation and infection, which will increase an ache that pressurize your sinus. In asthma patient, this pressure will cause the narrower of airways nerve, which will cause asthma. Sinusitis can appear in many symptoms, such as aching between eyes, increasing pressure around eyes, nose or side of the head. Blocked nose and ears are also symptoms of sinusitis. To relieve sinusitis, try these home natural remedies !

So, one of the precautions you can take to avoid asthma, is to prevent yourselves or your families from airways infection, by paying attention to your health. Taking probiotics is one of many ways to keep your family in healthy conditions. And more important, relief your sinusitis soonest possible before it lead you to the worse situation: asthma!
