Stress is probably the worst social pollutant that can lead to many kinds of diseases and health problems. Emotion and stress is probably one of allergy triggers that is difficult to be avoided. In our modern life, stress can happen to anybody, including a pregnant woman. Recently, a study has revealed that stress and over-anxiety during pregnancy could induce asthma and some allergies to the baby. Especially when the mothers have the stress during the last stages of the pregnancy.

There are many things that can turn a pregnant woman to a stressed conditions. Some of them are including...

  • Body condition problems that is usually accompany the pregnancy, such as nausea, back pain, ....

  • Under pressured by your work load (while you are trying to cope with your work load, and at the same time you must prepare yourself for the coming of your baby).

  • Worrying about the birth labor

  • Worrying about having a baby, how your life will fully changed, and will you be a good mother, etc.

  • Wondering whether your baby will be healthy or not

When a pregnant mom is feeling under-pressured, she would release a hormone, called cortisol (a stress hormone). This cortisol hormone will link to your and your baby’s immune system, which will be most likely to cause asthma and allergy to your baby.

The solution?

Relief the stress!

Ensure your baby will be born healthy, by always maintaining your own health during the pregnancy. These tips might help you in relieving and avoiding stress during pregnancy :

Accept the reality

Accept the fact that you are pregnant, including all the risks that you will carry on during the next 9 months. Accept that you cannot have as energic life as before you got pregnant. Accept that you might have some disturbing condition like nausea, vomiting, back pain, etc. Even if you, for some reason, must rest in bed during pregnancy.

Get prepared

If you are worried about your first labor, talk to your mother, or a friend who had given a birth. When you have an image about what is going to happen, you will be more relaxed.

Get relaxed

Don’t work too much during your pregnancy. Delegate or postpone the jobs whenever possible. Have some light yoga or exercise for pregnant women.

And the most important thing, ensure that you consume enough nutrition for your healthy as well as for your babies’. Probiotics is good to increase the immune system, plus it is safe to consume probiotics during pregnancy.

Avoid your baby from asthma and allergy by avoiding stress and good nutrition!
